Quad Rings





Quad rings are a four lipped seal suitable for static and dynamic applications. Available in a range of compounds to suit different applications. Available in BS1806 / AS568A standard sizes.
Please note that Bs 5xx, Bs 6xx, Bs 8xx series not yet generally available in quad rings.
Quad ring Groove dimensions

Main Advantages of Quad rings over O rings :

  • Because of the square section they are not prone to twisting in the groove
  • Profile requires less initial squeeze thus reducing friction
  • High sealing efficiency because of the double sealing lips
  • Lubricant reservoir between sealing lips improves start up and helps to reduce friction

    NBR Nitrile -40 deg C + 110 Deg C Mineral based Hydraulic and lubricating oils
    Lpg Gas, Butane, Propane, Acetylene, Petrol, Diesel
    EPDM Ethylene-propylene -55 deg C + 150 deg C Fire resistant hydraulic fluids, Brake fluids,Hot water, Steam
    Not resistant to mineral oils
    MVQ Silicon -55 Deg C + 230 Deg C High Temp Air, Water, Oxygen, alkalis and some acids
    Static applications only
    FPM Fluoro elastomer -40 deg C + 230 deg C High Temperature , Synthetic and hydraulic
    fluids, many acids and alkalis.
